H.L. Atmospheric black metal sometimes lacks in dynamic songwriting, variety and catchiness. The results are uniform and boring albums in the length of time. An amazing exception is PATHS. "In Lands thought lost" is their most exciting album to date, not only characterized by a dense melancholic atmosphere, but also by melodic hooklines and dynamic songwriting. Will be on heavy rotation for quite a while! Favorite track: South Ever South.
